Cardiac Event Monitoring is used to diagnose heart rhythm problems that may happen infrequently for a period of up to 30 days. Patients who may benefit from a cardiac event monitor may be experiencing symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, fainting spells or shortness of breath. These monitors are able to record the electrical activity of a patient’s heart when they feel a particular symptom or when the recorder detects a rhythm abnormality. These recordings can then be transmitted via telephone to our staff of licensed medical providers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

An in-depth history of symptoms and activities are taken over the phone along with the transmission of the patient’s events. Each rhythm then undergoes a careful analysis and interpretation by our certified technicians and is confirmed by a specially trained cardiac care nurse who has undergone years of advanced arrhythmia training.

The features of this report (it can be single or dual channel) are
1. Event based. Summaries are of each event not just each transmission.
2. Separate interpretation and exact time of event recorded for each episode with snapshots of specific arrhythmias.
3. Includes on the cover sheet (first page) a history of the last 4 events as well.
4. A full-disclosure of the complete transmission at standard amplitude and sweep speed may or may not be a standard feature if the Client desires.
